What is my PIN or password?
Your PIN/EZ password is your last name, all lowercase. If you have a long last name it is the first eight letters of your last name, all lower case.

How do I place a hold on an item?
- Click here for our catalog
- Sign in with your library card number, the full number without any spaces.
- Your Pin/EZ password is your last name, all lowercase. If you have a long last name it is the first eight letters of your last name, all lowercase.
- Type in the title of the item you would like to place on hold.
- Click the orange "Place Hold" button under the item you would like.
- Select "I want the first available copy" unless it is a DVD series or a graphic novel series.
- If it is a DVD/graphic novel series, select "I want a specific copy" and click all the discs/volumes for that series or the specific disc/volumes you need.
- Click "Submit hold".
- A green bar will appear at the top saying the hold was placed successfully.

How do I renew items online?

- Click Your Name's Account in the top right corner.
- Click "View Loans".
- Under the item you would like to renew, click the orange "Renew Loan" button.
- Items may not renew if they have already been renewed twice or if someone is waiting for the items.
- To double-check that the items were renewed, log out and log back in.

Printing, scanning, copying and faxing are all available at the library.

Where can I go for book recommendations?

- A list of books, authors, and genres will allow you to find books you may enjoy based on that item.
We also have a Book Box program where a librarian will pick out a library book for you once a month based on your reading preferences. You will also get a trinket and candy. Click here to start the Book Box program! It is free with a library card.

How do I renew my library card?
Come into the library with a current photo ID to be able to renew your library card. If you have recently moved please have a proof of address, such as a lease agreement, utility bill, or bank statement with the current address.
All fines must be paid at the time of renewal.

If you live outside Codington County, there will be an out of county card fee.
How do I reserve a room at the library?
- Log in to watlib.org using the "Website Sign-In" button.
- Select "Existing account" if you already have an account or "Create an account" if you do not have an account.
- Select "Room Reservation" on the left-hand bar (On mobile you will need to scroll under the staff to find the link).
- Select which subfacility you would like to request: Community Room or Marge Tauber South Dakota Room by clicking "View Subfacility".
- Select the day and time you would need the room reserved.
- All reservations must be made 24 hours in advance.
- Fill out the form with the reservation details.
- Submit the form.
- If it is unable to process your reservation, it conflicts with an already existing reservation.

Is the library closed?
The library will be open during regular hours unless it is a Federal Holiday or a weather-related closure.
