What we do

The Street Division maintains the roadway(s) you use every day to ensure your safety. Our team is responsible for (including but not limited to):

  • Repairing and maintaining public paved and gravel roads/alleys within the city limits
  • Filling potholes and sealing cracks
  • Plowing snow, applying sand/salt mix
  • Sweeping roadways to keep them clean and free of debris
  • Installing and maintaining traffic signs and pavement markings
  • Mowing and controlling vegetation along right-of-ways (including spraying noxious weeds)
  • Cleaning storm drains and maintaining drainage ways

We also coordinate residential street light repairs with local utilities. If a light is out near your home, report it using the City's Report a Concern form, and we’ll make sure it reaches the right team.
