Watertown Fire Rescue Responds to Vehicle Fire and Rollover on 14th Avenue NW
At approximately 1200am, Watertown Fire Rescue responded with Battalion 1, Engine 4, and Medic 4 to a report of a pickup that had entered a construction zone on 14th Avenue NW. The vehicle collided with construction machinery, rolled into a ditch, and caught fire.
A Codington County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived prior to fire crews and pulled the driver out of the burning vehicle. Upon arrival, Engine 4 quickly extinguished the fire, while Medic 4 provided patient care and transported the individual to Prairie Lakes Hospital with serious injuries.
The Watertown Police Department and South Dakota Highway Patrol also assisted on scene.
